We believe that God gifts each person to play an important role in his church. We’d love for you to join one of our Start Teams: the teams of people helping us to start Beacon Church. Check out the teams below and try one out on Sunday!

Sight and Sound

Each Sunday we roll out cases of speakers, TV’s, cables and more. This team helps create an excellent environment where people can worship and learn from God’s Word.

Creative Arts

If you have skill in graphic design, photography, videography or social media we’d love you to use your gifts to capture the people and moments of God on the move at Beacon.

Greeting

Creating a warm welcome for people is one of the most important things we do on Sundays! This team displays God’s love for people by connecting with everyone.

Worship (music)*

If God has gifted you with the ability to play music, we’d love for you to join our team. This team honors God with their gifts and leads the church to worship God through singing.

Beacon Kids*

When kids have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back. Our team members help to make Beacon Kids the highlight of each kids week while teaching them about God!

Refreshments

But first… coffee. This team keeps us hydrated and caffeinated so everyone can focus on God’s and learn from his word. If you love hospitality, this team is a great fit.

Set Up and Tear Down

Since we are a portable church, we have a crew that helps us set up everything from tables and chairs, to signs and banners.

Safety*

Safety is a priority at Beacon! Knowing that there is a team maintaining a safe, distraction free environment puts everyone at ease.

*These teams require that you serve somewhere else faithfully for at least 3 months before joining. Beacon Kids and Safety require background checks and an application.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The start team does two primary things.

    First the team the team serves by helping out on Sundays and at events.

    Second, the team connects by serving with others and at special gatherings for encouragement and vision.

  • We aim to have people serve on Sundays two weeks on and then take a break for two weeks.

    Exact times varies per team.
