Community Groups

Grow in your faith and connect with others at Beacon.

God intended for his church to be a community: a group of people who encourage one another and help each other follow Jesus. Community groups support what happens on Sundays by allowing you to go deeper with other people at Beacon and the teaching from the Bible.

Community Groups launch the week of September 13 and will run through the middle of December.

How it works

You join a group as a household. The group meets every week, but men and women meet on alternating weeks—men one week, women the next. The hope is to allow for as much flexibility as possible for families with kids, while limiting the need for finding a babysitter if possible.

A few times through the fall, we’ll host a family night where everyone comes together (including kids!) for some fun.

• Where? We will meet in someone’s home.

• When? Weeknights through the fall.

• How long? Groups last 2 hours each night.

• What will we do? Connect (snacks, games, conversation) and grow (discuss the Bible and how it relates to life).

What about kids?

Unfortunately we are not able to offer childcare for groups. We have tried to make the format as flexible as we can to limit the need for babysitting, however we know that no solution is perfect.
